Kalle Sorbo

Kalle Sorbo is a Digital Media Professional based in Castle Rock, CO. He is a native of Castle Rock, but left Colorado for four years while he attended Drake University in Des Moines, IA. He recently graduated on May 19th, 2019. Kalle earned two degrees while at Drake: A Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Mass Communication for Digital Media Production, and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Directing. 

Kalle has spent the majority of his life producing videos. He got into Video Production as a sixth grader, and has seen success at every level. He’s been nominated for local and national awards as a Middle School, High School, and College Student. 

Kalle is a Director of both Film and Theatre. He is also a Photographer, Videographer, Actor, Singer, and Editor.

Kalle also worked as a sports writer for The Times DelphicHe covered the Drake Football beat, and wrote a weekly NFL column.

He recently directed Time Stands Still by Donald Margulies at Drake University as part of their 2018/2019 main stage season.

His original play The American Family was work-shopped and premiered at Drake University in October of 2017 as part of their Student Theatre Projects.

His recent acting credits include A Lie of the Mind (Frankie), Dogfight (Lounge Singer), Heathers (Preppy Stud), Wild Party (Ensemble), and Blood Wedding  (Woodcutter). A recent achievement of his is winning the Iowa NATS singing competition for Upper College Musical Theatre.

Kalle spent a year as Vice President of Member Development for Sigma Phi Epsilon- Iowa Delta. During his term Iowa Delta won a 2017 Buchanan Cup, and Member Development Program of the year from Drake Fraternity and Sorority Life.

In his free time Kalle loves spending time in the outdoors, and has enjoyed his last two years working as a Zipline guide. Skiing is his oldest passion, and he also enjoys mountain biking and rock climbing.
